    Individual therapy

Sessions are person-centered and trauma-informed; I frequently utilize cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, and psychodynamic modalities to help clients begin to enact change and healing. Therapy aims to uncover the root of emotional distress and change negative thinking patterns, as well as to help clients learn to better manage moods and begin to heal from trauma.

    EMDR therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that helps clients recover from a myriad of symptoms. It utilizes bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements or handheld “tappers”) to help lessen the vividness of traumatic memories, while also addressing negative beliefs that may be contributing to symptoms.

    Teens

Teen sessions often focus on building confidence and autonomy, while also identifying ways to strengthen the family unit. Between navigating social media stressors and working on managing the anxiety of figuring out life after high school…they’re dealing with a lot. I can help them develop coping tools and figure out what they need to map out a path forward.
